This role will require him/her to support in the following tasks:
O&S Core Activities
- To ensure smooth operation of existing systems under the OASIS project and successful implementation of any upgraded software and hardware components.
- To liaise and work with the Authority appointed teams, contractors, service providers, third parties and Authority appointed personnel in the course of delivering the project activities.
- To monitor and ensure system adhere to applicable standards, policies and directives.
- To perform IT system compliance activities such as performing Log Reviews, Account and Access Rights Review and Compliance reports reviews.
- To support and work with the Authority in managing DSTA and/or MINDEF system audits.
- To manage and maintain all development, configuration and documentation in accordance to the Authority’s quality standards.
- To manage Vulnerability Assessment (VA) activities, and work with the Authority appointed Contractor to rectify all issues identified.
- To provide project status reporting on a regular basis.
- To manage remediation for obsolete system components.
- To manage the retirement and disposal of obsolete system components.
Incident Management
- To manage system support issues to resolve all defects that are reported.
- To respond to incidents and problem reports in accordance to Authority stipulated Service Level Agreement (SLA).
- To lead investigation and liaise with required stakeholders on resolution of problem (including those which are cross-systems or due to Authority Furnished Equipment)
- To provide timely updates to user management and DSTA on incidents / problem investigation.
- To provide regular consolidated incident summary (including those which are cross-systems, infra incident or due to AFE) to user.
- To perform defect trend analysis to address recurring incident.
Managing the resources in ensuring the expedient and proper closure of incidents and service requests.
Change Request Management
- To propose continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen compliance, cybersecurity posture, and improve work processes
- To conduct requirement gathering with the end users; oversees and manage the implementation of the changes required; and ensuring satisfactory and timely delivery to the users.
- To plan and manage implementation such as Change Request to enable the smooth deployment of the solution. This includes planning, providing support to set-up, identifying and facilitating data collection, highlighting project issues, as well as escalating and facilitating closure of issues with users.
- To manage and work with the existing system integrators of IT systems interfacing with OASIS/O2, in integrating all components of the solution to deliver the solution.
- To manage all necessary acceptance tests performed by delivery team and verify that the solution meets the specifications and requirements.
- To provide change management services to ensure the stakeholders and user communities are well informed of the project matters.
Contract Management
- To manage contract milestones (within the contract scope) while DSTA manage the contract and overall budget approved from the AOR.
- To liaise and coordinate with exiting/incoming contractors for efficient and expedient handover/takeover.
Specific Requirements
- Experience in IT audit is advantageous.
- Familiarity with IM8 or equivalent ICT policies is advantageous
Principal Engineer:
- Shall have at least 10 years of working experience in information technology.
Senior Engineer:
- Shall have at least 3 years of working experience in information technology.
