Responsibilities:
1. **Research & Content Development**:
- Conduct in-depth research on various topics, including historical events, industry trends, and target audience preferences.
- Gather information from credible sources (articles, books, archives, interviews, etc.) to support video concepts and scripts.
- Compile background materials, facts, and data to enhance the accuracy and relevance of video projects.
- Collaborate with writers, producers, and directors to ensure that research aligns with creative and production goals.
2. **Script Support**:
- Assist in the story development by providing accurate and engaging research material.
- Fact-check scripts to ensure historical and factual accuracy, making necessary corrections as needed.
- Identify potential experts, interviewees, or locations relevant to the project.
3. **Content Sourcing**:
- Identify and source appropriate stock footage, images, music, and other visual/audio elements for production.
- Work with external libraries, archives, and rights holders to secure permissions for third-party content.
4. **Pre-Production Assistance**:
- Research and recommend filming locations, including coordinating logistics such as permits and local resources.
- Prepare briefing documents and reports to support the production team during pre-production planning.
- Help identify potential interview subjects or contributors relevant to the content.
Skills Required:
- Strong research skills with the ability to synthesize large amounts of information into concise, usable formats.
- Excellent communication and writing skills, preferably in both English and Chinese.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and consistency.
