The Civil Engineer will be responsible for managing and overseeing construction projects from inception to completion. This role involves designing infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, coordinating with various stakeholders, and solving engineering problems that arise during construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed designs and plans for construction projects, including roads, bridges, buildings, and other infrastructure.
- Ensure that all designs and construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations and codes.
- Oversee construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.
- Conduct inspections and tests to ensure the quality and integrity of construction work.
Implement and enforce quality control procedures and standards. - Identify and resolve engineering problems and challenges that arise during construction.
Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams. - Maintain accurate and detailed records of project progress, changes, and expenditures.
Prepare and submit reports, including project status updates and compliance documentation. - Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members to address project needs and concerns.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one.
- Proven experience in civil engineering, particularly in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and safety standards.
- Proficiency in engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
