Project Engineer - Lift
Location: Ubi MRT, Singapore (near MRT)
Reports to: Project Manager
Role Objective
As a Project Engineer, you will manage, coordinate, and oversee designated lift modernization and new lift projects, ensuring they are completed within specified timeframes, budgets, and according to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Project Management:Oversee the full Project Management Process from project award to handover, including meeting all statutory requirements and deliverables.
Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans for multiple projects.
Review project proposals to establish timelines, budget, staffing needs, and resource allocation to maintain schedules and budgets.
Conduct pre- and post-tender surveys for modernization projects and preliminary surveys for new projects.
- Cost & Financial Management:Actively pursue variation orders to meet financial targets.
Manage project costs, anticipate potential cost overruns, and ensure timely project delivery.
Attend monthly Work in Progress (WIP) meetings with Commercial and Finance teams.
- Project Coordination & Reporting:Coordinate project team activities, including attending site meetings, inspections, and project handovers.
Order necessary spare parts and coordinate internally with departments like Sales Engineering, Drawing Office, and externally with suppliers.
Provide regular project management reports to support WIP reviews.
- Safety & Compliance:Demonstrate safety leadership by conducting quality and safety inspections.
Ensure compliance with Schindler’s organizational norms, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Sign off as needed for major projects per ON 17100 requirements, safeguarding Schindler's financial interests.
Oversee employee and subcontractor safety on project sites and conduct regular safety walks.
