RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish and maintain a prominent profile with clients/intermediaries
- Develop new and existing sales opportunities to meet growth targets
- Ensure risks are accepted and underwritten in accordance with the Company's Risk Management and Reinsurance guidelines
- Undertake credit control ensuring the standard for debtor days are strictly adhered to
- Provide a technical reference point for queries
- Carry out quality assurance checks and assist in training of less experienced staff
- Ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness in work processes within the department
- Undertake any other duties as may be assigned
- Tertiary qualification, preferably with a professional insurance qualification e.g. ACII
- Minimum Certificate in General Insurance
- Operational experience in general insurance environment
- Business development, marketing and presentation skills
- Sound knowledge in underwriting, reinsurance and risk management
- Good communications and negotiation skills
