Asian Thoracic Oncology Research Group (ATORG) is the coordinating platform for translational research for thoracic malignancies in Asia. Its mission is to advance medical knowledge of lung cancer and improve health outcomes of patients through clinical studies and scientific events.
Asia Pacific Oncology Drug Development Consortium (APODDC) was formed to foster education and collaboration between key stakeholders of cancer drug development within the Asia Pacific region, thereby improving treatment access to patients. APODDC drives regional activities in collaboration with institutions in the region and industry partners.
ATORG and APODDC operate centrally under the Clinical Trials and Epidemiological Sciences (CTE) division in National Cancer Centre Singapore.
The Senior / Executive will mainly organise events for ATORG and APODDC . The types of events include, but are not limited to, virtual, hybrid and in-person advisory board meetings, educational seminars and workshops. This role provides opportunities to interact internationally with healthcare institutions, industry partners and vendors, and manage key stakeholders at a regional level.
Main Responsibilities:
Organise events (60%)
- Responsible for managing events from startup to execution
- Communicate effectively and manage internal and external stakeholders and service providers
- Plan timeline for each event
- Draft budget, including sourcing of funding and reconciliation of funding and expenses
- Handle all logistics, inclusive of procurement (eg. venue, online/travel arrangements) and on-site management during event
- Develop marketing materials such as posters and collaterals and for social media
- Write meeting minutes, if required
- Administer pre- and post-event follow ups
- Manage agreements between key stakeholders, vendors and industry partners
- Manage manuscripts from drafting to publication.
ATORG Operations (30%)
- Manage operational duties of ATORG; this includes procurement of stationery and devices, collating of department information, updating of mailing list.
- Act as a liaison for department administrative matters
Other Duties (10%)
- Assist in any other work as assigned, which may include administrative tasks
Requirements:
- Degree, preferably in life sciences
- At least 1-2 years of events organisation experience, preferably in healthcare/ scientific research
- Candidates with experience organising school or external curricular events are welcome to apply!
- Candidates with more experience will be considered for the Senior Executive Role
