Kali Majapahit Martial Arts Academy
Kali Majapahit is a renowned martial arts academy, blending Southeast Asian martial arts, Filipino Kali, and holistic wellness with a modern approach. Founded by Guro Fred Evrard and Lila Evrard in 1998, the academy focuses on comprehensive martial arts training, including stick fighting, self-defense, kickboxing, and knife techniques, alongside personal development practices inspired by traditional Southeast Asian healing and philosophy.
We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Martial Arts Instructor and Program Director to join our dynamic team in Singapore. This role is ideal for an experienced martial artist who values not only physical mastery but also mental and spiritual growth and is ready to contribute to our students’ journeys through leadership and program management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Martial Arts Instruction: Provide high-quality instruction across a range of Kali Majapahit disciplines, including stick fighting, empty hand techniques, and knife defense. Maintain high standards in curriculum delivery and student engagement.
- Program Development and Oversight: Develop and refine programs for both adults and children, ensuring alignment with Kali Majapahit’s values of discipline, confidence, and holistic wellness. Implement new methods and content that address students’ physical, mental, and emotional growth.
- Instructor Training: Mentor and oversee other instructors, setting a high standard in technical skills and teaching methodologies. Provide ongoing feedback to ensure consistent and effective instruction.
- Community Engagement: Promote the Kali Majapahit philosophy of respect, self-confidence, and health. Engage with students and their families to create a supportive, inclusive, and inspiring training environment.
- Administrative Leadership: Manage class schedules, student progress tracking, and other operational aspects. Coordinate with management on student events, workshops, and program evaluations.
Qualifications:
- Extensive Martial Arts Background: Minimum of 10 years of martial arts experience, preferably in Filipino Martial Arts, Muay Thai, Silat, or other Southeast Asian arts.
- Teaching Experience: At least 5 years in a senior teaching role, with experience in curriculum development and instructor training.
