Job Description:
The management trainee role is a 2 years program and will focused on different facets of the supply chain, including procurement, logistics, inventory management and distribution etc. Successful candidates will receive hands on industry-based training as below and will be developed into pathways for future management roles within the company.
- Familiarize with comprehensive supply chain strategies, including procurement management, logistics management, inventory management, etc., to ensure the efficient operation of the supply chain.
- Responsible for communicating, negotiating, and signing procurement contracts with suppliers, supervising and managing the execution of purchase orders, ensuring timely supply of materials, and ensuring quality standards are met.
- Manage container scheduling, overseas shipments, optimize logistics networks, reduce logistics costs, and ensure timely delivery of goods to destinations.
- Communicate and cooperate with downstream departments, supervise inventory levels, ensure inventory levels meet demand, avoid excessive or insufficient inventory, and minimize inventory costs.
- Coordinate work between internal departments according to the supply chain plan, ensure the smooth operation of the supply chain, and promptly resolve issues and anomalies in the supply chain.
- Collect, analyze, and organize supply chain-related data, provide decision support and business reports, optimize supply chain processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
- Evaluate and select suitable suppliers, establish and maintain supplier relationships, track supplier performance, and promote continuous improvement of suppliers.
- Supervise and manage product quality in the supply chain, ensure products meet quality standards and customer requirements, and promptly address quality issues and complaints.
- Identify and assess risks in the supply chain, develop response strategies and contingency plans, and mitigate the impact of risks on the supply chain.
Requirements:
- Min Diploma / Degree in Supply Chain / Logistic or equivalent
- Well-organized, meticulous, able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and strong in execution
- Organized, good coordination & follow-up skills
- Competent in MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
- Proficiency in written and spoken English & Chinese (to liaise with Mandarin-speaking counterparts)
