Job description: We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Commercial Assistant Manager to oversee our Japanese Market in commercial operations and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance profitability, manage client relationships, teamwork withing inter-departments and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities:
· Manage client relationships with Ship Owners / Managers / Charterers, identifying opportunities for
new contacts.
· To analyse costs and prepare cost estimation based on enquiries
· To obtain commercial quotations from vendors for cost analysis
· To assist in quotations’ clarifications and negotiations with vendors
· Prepare credible quotations and estimates to clients
· Liaison within inter-departments on project requirements and operations
· Able to work productively independently and as part of a team
· Must have excellent analytical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities
· Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
· Boarding of vessels to oversee repair works as required
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s or master’s degree, in business management or related disciplines, Diploma holders with
relevant experience are welcomed to apply.
· Strong commercial background in ship repair/marine related industry
· Strong experience in cost estimation and analysis for ship repair projects
· Familiar with bidding and tender protocols
· Pro-active, good interpersonal, organizational and computer skills
· Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
· Possess high level of initiative and integrity
· Applicants who can converse, read and write in Japanese
· Willing to travel as required
