Responsibilities:
• Overall responsible for effective project implementation and efficient use of resources till project completion within contractual schedule and budgeted cost.
• Work closely with main con on project progress and ensure timely work arrangement.
• Carry out daily site supervision, coordination, and quality assurance of all trades implementation on site and ensuring work is carried out in safe manner.
• Prepare manpower and machineries requirement and schedule.
• Prepare progress report.
• Verify Daily Report and KPI prepared by Project Engineer.
• Identify any discrepancies and non-clarity in drawings and to check with main contractor.
• Attend weekly and monthly meetings on work progression.
• Determine at the planning stage, in conjunction with the Project Manager, the most appropriate order and method of working, and the allocation of responsibilities to sub-contractors.
• Control and co-ordinate the sub-contractors' safety organizations and activities.
• Initiate in conjunction with the Project Manager, arrangements with subcontractors and other contractors on the Project site to avoid any confusion about areas of responsibility.
• Ensure that all construction regulations and other legal requirements are complied with on the construction site, that all registers, records, and reports are in order, and that any "competent person" appointed has sufficient knowledge of plant and / or machinery to evaluate all aspect of its safe operation.
• Ensure that all plant sent to the work locations is safe and efficient and is maintained to a standard which fully complies with the requirements of all relevant construction site regulations.
• To check periodically statutory tests, examinations, inspections, and maintenance are carried out.
• Ensure that all repair and maintenance work carried out at the project site is done in a proper manner, and that all emergency repair works are properly dealt with and effectively repaired as soon as possible thereafter.
• Ensure that all employees are provided with appropriate safety equipment to perform the work.
• Attend all toolbox meetings conducted by the site safety supervisor.
• Supervising and overseeing the direction of the project (or a package), ensuring that the client’s specifications and requirements are met, reviewing progress, and liaising with quantity surveyors to monitor costs.
• Liaising with the client, other construction professionals and, sometimes, members of the public.
• Coordinating and supervising construction workers.
• Deputies to Site Manager in his absence.
Requirements:
• Must possess at least Diploma / advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree / Post Graduate Diploma / Professional Degree in Engineering (Civil) or equivalent.
• 5 years working experience with relevant projects will be priority.
• Must have good communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Good team player and able to work independently with positive attitude.
