Job Summary:
The Security Systems Field Engineer must be able to program and install security systems (Card Access, CCTV, CATV and Intrusion systems)
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems in a senior service support role. That includes testing, troubleshooting of system components and functions and field verification of connections, labels, installation and work quality.
- Understands advanced system drawings, specifications and technical manuals.
- Manages the technical work in the field with little supervision
- Works both “in house” and in the field when required.
- Assumes ownership of project installation giving support to field staff and project manager. This includes providing advanced support for field installation staff.
- Assists with maintaining and completing project punch-list for project close outs.
- Handles other responsibilities as assigned.
Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements:
- Must have at least a ITE or diploma in Electronic/Computer Engineering
- Must have at least 1-3 years commercial Security Systems cabling experience (Card Access, CCTV, and Intrusion systems).
- Must be able to work well with other people
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and MS Project).
