Overview
As a Design Engineer, you will assist the Technical Manager in all the designing, preparation, securing required legal documents for all the drawings (i.e.: shop drawings, structural drawings, architectural drawings and M&E drawings).
Responsibilities
1) Prepare and perform design for precast component according to client demand.
2) Responsible in the design and preparation of shop drawings and secure permits required by the government.
3) Review completed structural drawings, designs and specifications before issue for production.
4) Check and highlight all the discrepancies between Architectural, Structural and M&E drawings.
5) Co-ordinate with relevant parties on technical issues.
6) Plan & carry out production or service under controlled conditions – including product characteristics, work instructions / standard work methods, suitable equipment, Monitoring & Measurement (MM), release, delivery & post-delivery activities.
7) Ensure customer requirement are determined and met, thus enhance customer satisfaction.
8) Communicate to the organization the importance of meeting customer as well as statutory & regulatory requirement.
9) Establish the quality policy and objective.
10) Provide technical support for company operation.
11) Train, brief & supervise work and control process to work instructions / standard work methods and process plans.
12) Ensure planning & integrity of the Quality Management system (QMS).
13) Ensure Responsibility & Authority are defined & communicated.
14) Address customer satisfaction though the effective application of system, including processes for continual improvement and the prevention of non-conformity.
15) Conduct management review.
16) Ensure the availability of resources.
17) Determine, collect & analyze data for informed management decision.
18) Perform any other duties as assigned by the Management and the designated manager.
Requirements
1) Bachelor degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent.
2) Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in precast concrete industry.
3) Experience in creating 3D models of building element.
4) Prosses excellent problem definition / analytical and problem solving skills.
5) Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent customer relation skills.
6) Able to work independently.
7) A team player with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and organize tasks.
