Job Responsibilities
- Greet and seat customers in the restaurant, ensuring they feel welcome and attended to.
- Take and serve orders promptly, accurately, and efficiently, with a focus on delivering a memorable dining experience.
- Provide detailed information about the menu, including yakitori dishes, beverages, and daily specials, to assist customers in making informed choices.
- Prepare and serve beverages, including alcoholic drinks, with a high level of expertise and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including stocking and replenishing supplies as needed.
- Assist with setting up and closing the bar area, ensuring it is ready for service.
- Handle customer inquiries, special requests, and feedback with professionalism and a positive attitude.
- Work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders.
- Process payments, manage bills, and ensure accurate cash handling and transactions.
- Uphold the restaurant’s standards of service, quality, and cleanliness at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to create a harmonious and efficient work environment.
Job Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-end or Japanese restaurant setting.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and outgoing personality.
- Basic knowledge of Japanese cuisine, particularly yakitori, and a willingness to learn more.
- Experience in bartending or beverage service is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
