This advertisement is recruiting for the position of Receptionist cum Admin Assistant.
If successfully selected, you will be seconded to MOE primary school located in Martia Road.
Contract Period: From 01 January 2025 to 31 December 2025
Option to Extend: From 1 Jan 2026 to 31 Dec 2026.
Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:
- Mondays to Thursdays: 7:00am to 4:00pm, inclusive of 30 mins lunch break
- Fridays: 7:00am to 3:30pm, inclusive of 30 mins lunch break
- Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays.
The service required are set out as follows :
Reception Duties:
- Receiving visitors and render assistance to contractors/ vendors.
- Render assistance to walk-in pupils’ needs and simple non-life threatening first-aid support at the sickbay. To escalate to office staff immediately if it is beyond superficial cases.
- Handle situations when pupils vomit and soil their clothes, loan of uniforms, ad-hoc sewing of buttons on uniform, etc.
- Print and pass the Early Dismissal Form to parents.
Phone Call Duties:
- Handing phone calls on queries, feedbacks and requests.
- Taking messages and ensuring they are passed to the appropriate staff member in time.
Front Desk Admin Duties:
- Issue and collection of keys to staff/students/vendors.
- Manage incoming/outgoing mails and deliveries. (record, sort & distribute daily mail). • Maintain resource files required for counter duty.
- Maintain the forms cabinet in the office. All forms must be current and to be replenished constantly.
- Operate office equipment like fax, photocopier, etc.
- Ad-hoc simple administrative duties that may be assigned by the school.
The personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- 3 GCE ‘O’ Level passes or more, with a pass in English.
- Preferably more than 2 years of experience in Administration.
- Preferably with similar working experience in a school environment.
- Preferably have a valid first-aid with CPR certification.
- Experience in using MS Office Applications e.g. Excel, Word etc.
- Communicate well in English.
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills with patience and ability to remain calm during challenging situations.
- Possess initiative, good problem solving skills and ability to multitask during peak period.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team with professional ethics.
