Job Description
- Oversee process mechanical design for process plant (Wastewater Treatment Plant, Water Treatment Plant, etc) including P&ID, equipment/piping/valve sizing, equipment selection, equipment/piping layout, equipment specification/data sheet, etc
- Provide process mechanical input and coordinate with other disciplines (including the BIM modelling team) for the design, installation and T&C work
- Oversee technical review of mechanical equipment/system vendors’ proposal and submission during procurement, detailed design and installation stages, support the procurement and tender work
- Prepare the process mechanical submissions and resubmissions to project consultants and client according to project schedule and clear the submittal comments
- Manage the mechanical equipment suppliers / subcontractors to meet the project schedule and quality requirements for design, installation and testing & commissioning
- Support on the testing, commissioning and O&M work
Requirements
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in chemical/environmental/mechanical engineering
- Minimum 4 Years’ experience in process/mechanical work (design, engineering, installation support, T&C, etc.), ideally for water/wastewater treatment project (including sludge treatment); For senior position, candidate must have at least 8 years of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with international and local standards (e.g., ASME, ANSI, PUB Singapore regulations)
- Familiarity with mechanical equipment used in WWTPs, including such as screens, pumps, mixers, blower, air compressors, tanks, biogas equipment, odour control system, sludge equipment, piping, and valves, etc
- Must be a self-starter and be able to work with minimal supervision, make sound decisions, take independent action, and provide focused solutions to assigned projects
- Possess strong inter-personal and communication skills and be able to work well with people at all levels in the organization
- Must have advanced computer literacy in commonly usedsoftware applications such as MS Office
- Knowledge in Naviswork and Bentley View Software will be an added advantage
