We’re looking to add a Senior Analyst, Finance (Tax) in Singapore. The position is based in our HQ at Ang Mo Kio.
As a Senior Analyst, Finance (Tax), you will:
Be part of the Group Tax Team and supporting the Group in tax compliance, tax reporting and involved in various tax projects with the objectives of strengthening the tax compliance, the robustness of documentation for tax defense and mitigating the tax risk of the Group, and improving the Group ETR.
- Support in tax planning and tax compliance works for Group and review of income tax returns for Group entities.
- Support in transfer pricing documentations including local file and review of Master File and CbC report.
- Assist with periodic and annual review of tax provisions.
- Support sites in developing tax audit defense strategy.
- Liaising with external tax consultants on certain assignments (e.g. tax compliance).
- Keeping abreast of tax regulations and Budget announcement, and update Tax Controller on impact to Group.
- Participates in projects assigned by the Tax Controller and coordinate with Group finance personnel, site finance and various other stakeholders, such as Globe minimum tax implementation, identifying/implementing improvements in generating reports from accounting system.
- Involve in tax incentives project and coordinating with respective stakeholders on collation of information.
- Involve in M&A and divestments projects.
- Involve in advisory roles such as review of contracts, double tax treaties, withholding tax, indirect tax advice, etc.
- Support in Global Minimum Tax (GMT) including assessment / computations and regulations updates.
What skills and experiences are we looking for?
- Degree in Accountancy preferred.
- At least 5 years’ experience in tax. Big Four, Regional or commercial tax experience preferred.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese (Mandarin) to liaise with Chinese-speaking associates.
- Good attitude and willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Must be a team player with ability to work with people across functions and culture and from all levels within the organization.
- Good in Excel skills.
- Knowledge of SAP a plus.
- Good technical knowledge and understanding of Singapore and Malaysia tax landscape.
