We are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable Medical Affairs Associate to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview:
The Medical Affairs Associate will play a critical role in project management, ensuring smooth coordination and communication across various stakeholders, including Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in the US, Korea, and Europe. This role is ideal for a junior doctor with a solid foundation in retinal biomarkers, the link between retinal signs and systemic diseases, a basic understanding of AI and deep learning, and a strong desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced startup environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management:Coordinate and manage medical affairs projects, ensuring timely progress and successful completion.
Set up, maintain, and document regular meetings with KOLs and other key stakeholders across different regions (US, Korea, Europe).
Track project timelines, deliverables, and ensure alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
Experience with project management tools like Excel, Slack etc.
- Stakeholder Engagement:Build and maintain strong relationships with KOLs, research partners, and other stakeholders.
Facilitate effective communication between internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
- Medical Expertise:Apply foundational knowledge of retinal diseases, systemic diseases, and the connection between retinal signs and systemic conditions to support ongoing research and development efforts.
Assist in the review and analysis of clinical data, reports, and publications.
- Regulatory Support:Assist in reviewing and preparing regulatory documents in compliance with relevant guidelines.
Support the regulatory team by providing medical insights and ensuring accuracy in documentation.
- AI & Deep Learning:Utilize a basic understanding of AI and deep learning to contribute to discussions on the integration of these technologies in medical research.
Stay updated on the latest developments in AI as it relates to healthcare, retinal diseases, and systemic conditions.
- Learning & Development:Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn new concepts, tools, and technologies relevant to the role.
Participate in training sessions, conferences, and other educational opportunities to enhance your expertise.
Requirements:
- Education: Medical degree (MD/MBBS or equivalent)
- Experience:Strong foundational knowledge of retinal diseases, biomarkers, and systemic diseases.
Understanding of the link between retinal signs and systemic conditions.
Basic understanding of AI and deep learning concepts.
Experience in project management or a similar role in a clinical or research setting is a plus but not required.
Experience with statistical tools (STATA, R, Python) and publications is a bonus but not required.
