- Observe and comply with all prevailing and regulations relating to Fire Safety Act.
- Conduct fire safety training for staff.
- Carry out regular building inspection and ensure non-compliance of fire safety are addressed and rectified.
- Ensure building fire evacuation routes are free from obstruction and fire evacuation plans are in place.
- Submit monthly and annual fire safety report.
- Conduct table top exercise regularly, fire drill exercise, fire risk assessment and incident management.
- Ensure staff and contractors comply with the safety regulations.
- Ensure all works carried out safely and/or in accordance with safety procedures
- Prepare and implement the Emergency Response Plan, Arson Prevention Plan, In-Place Protection Plan in the premises.
- To train, co-ordinate and supervise the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) for the premises in first-aid, fire-fighting and evacuation in the event of fire or other related emergencies.
- To conduct training to the occupants within the premises in first-aid, fire-fighting and evacuation in the event of fire or other related emergencies.
- To ensure all CERT equipment are put in place and properly maintained.
- To conduct SCDF CERT AUDIT annually.
- To conduct checks with appointed PE and submission of Annual Fire Certificate Renewal.
- To carry out a fire risk assessment of the premises and perform checks to any fire safety related activities or works with implementation of practical mitigation measures and solutions
- To oversee the maintenance of the fire safety & protection systems within the premises.
Requirement
- Diploma in Building or related discipline
- At least 3 years of experience in the relevant trade.
- Registered Fire Safety Manager with SCDF
- Able to work independently and possess good interpersonal skills.
- Good communication skills both verbal and written.
- Pro-active, independent, able to work with minimal supervision and perform under pressure.
- Possess high level of initiative and integrity.
- Has a good safety mindset and displays good WSH behaviour.
