Responsibilities:
- To lead in all Safety & Risk management discussion related to the systems at site.
- Accountable to review and validate method statements and risk analysis of vendors prior to issuance of PTWs for work at site.
- Responsible to ensure that all EHS Policies, processes and practices are implemented safely and efficiently during commissioning and startup especially the following LOTO, Blind management, PTW, Chemical and Waste effluent management, Work at height and pressure hose testing and handling.
- Input into the daily project risk register of EHS risks and associated mitigations in the daily toolbox report..
- Ensure all necessary regulatory permits are renewed in a timely manner and valid to each system operation.
- Responsible for the Fire Safety audit and compliance to regulations under the Fire Safety certification.
- Set up, update and implement the Emergency Response and Spill Plan.
- Ensure emergency drills are carried out in accordance when required with changes in legislation.
- Act as the Quality representative of the site and ensure that the QUALITY management system is in place for site QEHS audits/inspections and follow up.
- Act as the Site Document Controller and review CUB documents for updates and registration into the site document register.
- Attend site daily and weekly meetings, quality, toolbox meetings and participate in safety and quality review processes.
Job Requirements:
- Registered as Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with Ministry of Manpower;
- Minimum of 3 years of WSHO experience in Construction or Manufacturing Industry;
- Strong knowledge in Workplace Safety and Health Act;
- Good knowledge of NEA waste effluent control policy
- Familiar with FMEA, HAZAOP and Job Hazard Analysis methodologies.
- Good interpersonal, management and decision-making skills;
- Strong innovative and analytical skills and problem-solving skills;
- A registered First-Aider Certification is an added advantage
- A registered Fire Safety Manager is an added advantage
