Red Shield Industries (RSI) is the social enterprise arm of The Salvation Army. By re-using, recycling and restoring donations in kind from the public and corporations, it generates income through its Family Stores to support our mission to provide holistic care to the community.
RSI also strives to assist humanitarian needs in times of crisis and emergency, leveraging on its logistics network to deliever aid to crisis areas in the region quickly and efficiently.
Working closely with local and international organisations, RSI engages them in meaningful programmes for their coprate social responsibility initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Mover supports the mission of the Red Shield Industries, a social enterprise, highly regarded by the public for its excellent delivery donation in kind service which is sensitive and responsive to the community welfare needs and meets the funding needs of The Salvation Army.
It is expected that the Mover will collect and deliver donated items to designated sites with established quality, environment and safety practices. The Mover supports the operation in collecting and delivery of donated goods to designated sites.
Job Responsibilities
- Carry out duty with utmost personal integrity, reliability and keeping to time commitment.
- Perform as member of the collection/delivery team headed by the team leader.
- Support Team Leader in carrying out assigned tasks by Supervisor and to meet KPIs.
- As a representative of TSA/RSI, to be courteous and helpful at all times when dealing with donors and the general public.
- Ensure that all assignments are authorised and accompanied by the correct Collection/Delivery Orders/Service Order and to return documents to Donor and Customer Care administration for record keeping.
- Accept physical work by loading/unloading all donors' items at designated sites and/or delivery of items to FTS/Centres.
- Ensure that all assignments are executed in a professional manner through proper care and items are properly secured at all times.
- Assist in clearing bins located at different locations when assigned.
- Keep work areas safe and clean at all times.
- Be properly attired, putting on Personal Protective Equipment when necessary, at all times.
- Adhere to all workplace safety rules and regulations.
- Report to the respective Supervisor/Manager on any feedback/incident/damages promptly.
- Work as a team and participate in team meetings, daily briefings and debriefings.
- Undertake any projects and specific duties as assigned by Management from time to time.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items
- Strong teamwork and collaboration
- Customer service orientation, as movers often interact with clients
- Problem-solving skills, especially in handling large or awkward items
- Time management to ensure jobs are completed efficiently
Working hours
- 5.5 days work week/44 hours per week
- Work hours: 8.30am to 5.30pm (with 1 hour break)
