Site Engineer Responsibilities:
- Organizing materials and ensuring sites are safe and clean.
- Preparing cost estimates and ensuring appropriate materials and tools are available.
- Providing technical advice and suggestions for improvement on particular projects.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment as required.
- Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best contracts.
- Authorizing technical drawings and engineering plans.
- Drawing up work schedules and communicating any adjustments to crew members and clients.
- Gathering data, compiling reports and delivering presentations to relevant stakeholders.
- Delegating tasks and scheduling meetings and training sessions where required.
- Completing quality assurance and providing feedback to the team.
- Support Construction Project Manager on subcontractors sourcing, issuing, work scope clarification, sub-contractors evaluation & selection, cost negotiation and PO issuance.
- Coordinating and liaising with selected subcontractors to ensure they are in line with company planning and execution. To discuss and clarify the detail of scope of work, execution plan, issue resolution and technical issue resolution.
- Coordinating with all engineering disciplines to ensure design, cost and client’s requirement can be achieved.
- Handling of issued drawings to ensure latest drawings to be applied.
- Working closely with scheduler, subcontractors and clients to plan ahead and schedule critical work paths in order to avoid delays or obstructions on mechanical completion.
- Day to day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the work progress, site labour force and any work of subcontractors.
- Knowledge in steel and rebar projects.
- Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site.
- Identify and resolve all technical issues in Construction process.
- Need to provide technical solutions to the issues and should groom supervisors to next level.
- Liaising with any vendors, consultant, supervisors, subcontractors and the general workforce involved in the project.
- Assist Construction Manager to monitor and manage the overall construction cost, including subcontractors’ progress billing, construction expenses and cost of variation order.
- Prepare and submit the weekly and monthly progress/construction reports to management.
Site Engineer Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, construction, or similar.
- Experience in a similar role.
- Good knowledge of Engineering, construction, and design.
- Great leadership and organizational skills.
- Superb project management skills.
- Ability to apply logical and critical thinking skills to projects.
- Great written and verbal communication skills.
- A willingness to learn.
- Willing to work Night Shift
- Knowledge in AutoCad will be Advantages
- Quantity Callculation Skills
- Microsoft Office will be Advandage.
