Lico Resources is proud to partner with a global financial institution in search of a talented Corporate Strategy Professional. This role offers the opportunity to work on key strategic initiatives that will shape the organisation’s future. The selected individual will collaborate across business units to develop and implement effective corporate strategies that align with the organisation's growth ambitions.
The Role
This position will be pivotal in driving strategic projects both internally and externally, fostering robust partnerships across the organisation. In this role, you will be responsible for structuring and managing projects, and delivering high-quality, impactful results that support the organisation’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate new investment opportunities and contribute to strategic planning activities and corporate development initiatives.
- Prepare high-level corporate proposal papers and support strategic business planning for executive meetings.
- Engage in corporate finance activities, focusing on risk assessment for new projects, strategic investments, and M&A efforts.
- Conduct comprehensive market research, track industry trends, and analyse competitor strategies.
- Monitor the progress of strategic projects, identifying risks, roadblocks, and ensuring timely delivery.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and stakeholders to communicate and align on strategic objectives.
- Play an active role in nurturing a positive and effective team environment while fostering continuous growth and improvement within the Corporate Development Unit.
Qualifications:
- Relevant experience in Corporate Development, Strategy or M&A activities, ideally in financial services industry. Candidates without FI industry experience are encourage to apply too.
- Demonstrable knowledge of capital markets and financial institutions, with insight into industry regulations and systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of successful project management.
- Capable of managing multiple projects, with exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, independent, and able to adapt quickly to new challenges.
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and financial modelling.
