- The role involves leading the development and maintenance of an AI agentic framework specifically designed for applications in Risk and Compliance, Financial Crime, and Conduct (CFCC). The individual will serve as a critical liaison between Risk Function Officers (RFOs) within the business and the IT AI teams. This position requires a deep understanding of both business needs and technical capabilities to ensure that AI solutions and advanced analytics are effectively integrated and utilized to enhance risk management and compliance functions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the Design and Implementation of AI Frameworks: Leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of AI frameworks to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Ownership of Advanced Analytics Development: Leading the development of advanced analytics capabilities, including machine learning models and forecasting algorithms, to enhance business intelligence and predictive capabilities.
- Development of Advanced Analytics AI: Owning the development and implementation of advanced analytics AI applications, ensuring they provide actionable insights and support decision-making processes.
- Facilitating Communication and Collaboration: Acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and IT professionals to ensure cohesive integration of AI solutions.
- Designing and Maintaining Business Prompts: Ensuring the optimal performance of AI business agents by designing, maintaining, and refining business prompts to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of AI responses.
- Senior Business Stakeholder Management: Managing relationships with senior business stakeholders to ensure their needs and expectations are met and to drive the strategic direction of AI initiatives.
- Prioritization of Use Cases: Prioritizing AI use cases to ensure that the most critical and impactful projects are addressed first, aligning with business goals and risk management strategies.
- Team Leadership: Leading a team of AI Prompt Engineers, overseeing their performance, and ensuring that prompt engineering efforts are effective and contribute to the overall success of AI applications.
- This role is pivotal in driving the strategic use of AI and advanced analytics in Risk and CFCC, ensuring that both AI and non-AI solutions are not only technically sound but also aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements. The individual will be instrumental in leveraging advanced analytics to transform data into strategic assets that drive business performance and compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Strategy
- Develop and Execute AI Strategy: Formulate a comprehensive AI strategy for Risk and CFCC applications, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
- Strategic Planning: Engage in strategic planning sessions with senior management to define AI objectives and roadmaps.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation in AI applications and continuously seek opportunities for improvement and optimization.
2. Business
- Liaison Role: Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and IT AI teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of business needs.
- Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with senior business stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
- Use Case Prioritization: Identify, evaluate, and prioritize AI use cases based on business impact and strategic importance.
3. Processes
- Framework Development: Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of the AI agentic framework.
- Prompt Design and Maintenance: Design and maintain business prompts to ensure the optimal performance of AI business agents.
- Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of AI applications.
4. People & Talent
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of AI Prompt Engineers, ensuring they are motivated, skilled, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Talent Development: Invest in the development and training of team members to build a high-performing AI team.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Foster a collaborative environment that encourages coordination between business and IT teams.
5. Risk Management
- Risk Identification: Identify potential risks associated with AI applications in Risk and CFCC.
- Mitigation Strategies: Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Continuously monitor AI systems for risk management and provide regular reports to senior management.
6. Governance
- Compliance: Ensure that all AI applications comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Policy Development: Develop and enforce governance policies for the use of AI in Risk and CFCC.
- Audit and Review: Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of AI systems and processes.

Our Ideal Candidate
- 10 plus experience in advanced Analytics in a bank.
- Expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining AI frameworks, ensuring they meet business needs and technical requirements.
- Expertise in developing advanced analytics capabilities, including machine learning models and forecasting algorithms, to enhance business intelligence and predictive capabilities.
- Experience in Market Risk and Credit Risk Analytics Including Stress Test.
- Skills in designing and maintaining business prompts to ensure the optimal performance of AI business agents.
