We seek an excellent content strategist to create branded content across AsiaOne’s website and social media channels. If you are constantly curious, bursting with story ideas, competent in digital publishing and social media, and have experience leading a team, we would like to meet you.
Responsibilities
- Conceive, pitch and produce branded content products on social media for clients in a variety of verticals, including consumer, entertainment, lifestyle, healthcare, automotive and/or technology
- Ensure that all branded content produced by AsiaOne branded content team is in keeping with the values of AsiaOne while meeting the client’s strategic aims
- Actively participate in regular brainstorming sessions and meetings
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to help finesse and fine-tune ideas in order to develop excellent storytelling and various content capabilities
- Join client meetings with sales colleagues to present and pitch editorial findings, content concepts and works in progress, advising clients about AsiaOne’s best practices and values, and how they serve the client’s aims
- Employ newsroom standards and practices, including conducting interviews, identifying sources, sub/copy editing and fact-checking
Requirements
- Preferably a degree in communications, journalism or a related field
- Excellent English writing skills with a distinctive wit and flair
- Able to work under tight deadlines and very occasionally at night, on weekends and Public Holidays
- Preferably at least 5 years of content marketing or branded content experience
- Preferably reporting and/or editing experience in a journalistic role
- Preferably experience in multiple beats and sectors, such as lifestyle, business, technology, automotive and luxury
- Good understanding of publishing, social media and the content marketing landscape
- Avid consumer of media of all types
- Ability to do visual design and video editing is a plus
