Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Production Support Engineer with a foundational understanding of Unix and Java. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting production systems, ensuring minimal downtime and swift issue resolution. This role requires a willingness to work on a rotating shift schedule, including night shifts, to provide round-the-clock support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and support production systems to ensure stability, availability, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic issues in Unix environments and Java-based applications.
- Escalate complex problems to senior support or development teams when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to execute routine maintenance tasks and deployments.
- Document issues, troubleshooting steps, and solutions for future reference.
- Follow established protocols and standards for incident response and resolution.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in a production support role.
- Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux commands and scripting.
- Foundational understanding of Java for troubleshooting application-related issues.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work in rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
