Decision makers at global leading firms – ranging from operators, real estate advisors and data centre
operators – use our Premiere Analytics Platform. Our clients are made up predominantly of the leading data
centre operators, REITs, funds, and developers. Our data has been cited in investment decisions by publicly
listed firms, with clients often leveraging our analytics and insights. Our team of analysts are regularly invited
to industry events and investor briefings to weigh in on the industry dynamics and outlook.

What your first year as a DC Byte Research Analyst might look like:
First 3 months
· Internal and external training
· Gaining expertise on our Analytics Platform and other company tools
· Gaining expertise on designated market coverage
3 to 6 months
· First client engagements and requests – tailored presentations to investment teams, C-Suite and executives, real estate advisory teams etc.,
· Attending industry events and networking
6 to 12 months
· End-to-end consultancy delivery under guidance from Senior Analysts and team
· Public speaking opportunities/investor briefings to educate various stakeholders/audiences about market dynamics
*Business travel to the designated market is a core part of the role – the timing of this will be dependent on business requirements, industry events etc.
Responsibilities include:
· Maintaining the DC Byte Analytics Platform and ensuring quality and consistency of data within designated markets
· Networking with industry professionals to gather information on existing and future supply and demand, and further understanding of market dynamics.
· Researching data centre development from a variety of news, public filings, and mapping sources.
· Delivering presentations to clients and stakeholders in both public and private forums.
· Delivering bespoke research reports in line with the client’s aims and objectives.
· Providing insight on industry developments to support research, white papers, infographics, and consulting projects.
· Representing the company at international and domestic conferences and events.
Minimum attributes:
· Research competencies – kindly note that this is not a data analytics role, hence experience with analytics tools (R, Python etc.) is not required
· Triangulation of information from various qualitative sources, consideration of industry drivers, market contexts and dynamics, wider geopolitical and economic landscape etc.
· Analytical and critical thinking skills
· Strong interpersonal skills, comfortability with networking
· Good writing and presentation skills for both interpersonal communication and deliverables (e.g., reports, commentaries etc.)
· Attention to detail
· Good attitude and willingness to learn
· Self-starter, proactiveness, adaptability
· Ability to work independently
· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, organisational skills
Preferred attributes:
· Degree in Business, Economics, Real Estate, or experience in an industry analysis/research role preferred. However, interested candidates with degrees in any other fields are strongly encouraged to apply
· Experience managing a research project from scoping to delivery
· Network of data centre professionals across the APAC region
· Multi-lingual –English & Mandarin mandatory. Cantonese desirable too.
