Job Responsibilities
· Prepare and submit accurate and timely financial reports required for STAT (Statutory Accounting Principles) reporting, adhering to industry guidelines and regulatory requirements.
· Monitor and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies or irregularities and take appropriate corrective actions.
· Prepare, review, and submit government reports, including but not limited to regulatory filings, tax returns, and other compliance-related documents.
· Stay up to date with current tax regulations, laws, and reporting requirements to ensure compliance and minimize tax liabilities.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and tax departments, to gather necessary data and ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
· Assist in the implementation and maintenance of accounting procedures and internal controls to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
· Conduct periodic audits and reviews to identify potential risks and recommend improvements to mitigate those risks.
· Provide guidance and support to junior accountants, ensuring adherence to accounting principles and best practices.
· Collaborate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies as necessary.
Job Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification is highly preferred.
· Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role, with a focus on STAT reports, government reporting, and tax operations.
· Proficiency in financial reporting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
· It is crucial to possess a strong focus on maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in your job duties.
· Strong organizational and time management abilities to meet tight deadlines.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and external stakeholders.
· Ability to adapt to changing regulatory and industry requirements.
