Job Description & Requirements
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Management
- Oversee daily temple operations, including administration and ensuring all activities align with the temple's mission and values.
- Ensure the smooth conduct of all rituals, ceremonies, and religious events, coordinating with priests and religious staff to maintain religious sanctity and schedule.
- Implement and maintain operational policies and procedures to ensure the effective running of the temple.
- Oversee the temple’s schedule of events, ensuring all religious and cultural activities are planned and executed seamlessly.
2. Financial & Human Resource Management
- Oversee and manage the annual budget while ensuring financial stability and transparency.
- Monitor financial performance, prepare regular financial reports,and ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
- Lead and oversee fundraising activities, including donations,grants, and sponsorships, ensuring effective resource mobilization and donor relations.
- Recruit and manage temple staff and volunteers, fostering a positive working environment and ensuring adherence to temple policies and procedures.
- Develop and oversee volunteer programs, ensuring effective utilization and engagement of volunteers in temple activities.
3. Community Engagement
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with devotees, community partners and religious organizations, promoting the temple's role in the community.
- Address concerns and feedback from devotees and the public promptly and effectively, ensuring a responsive approach.
4. Strategic Planning
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the temple's growth and sustainability.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in temple services and programs, ensuring continuous enhancement of the temple’s offerings.
5. Facilities Management
- Oversee the maintenance and improvement of temple facilities,ensuring a safe, clean and welcoming environment for all devotees.
6. Communication and Public Relations
- Develop and implement effective communication strategies to promote the temple’s activities and engage with the community.
- Oversee the temple’s online presence, including its website and social media platforms, ensuring timely and relevant updates.
7. Governance and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and religious requirements.
- Prepare and present reports to the Management Committee, providing updates on operational, financial and strategic matters.
Qualifications
- A degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role, preferably in a religious or non-profit organization.
- Strong understanding of temple management.
- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people.
- Financial acumen and experience in budgeting and financial management.
