- Design, configure, and program DeltaV DCS for batch process automation, including developing control logic, creating batch recipes, and configuring alarms and trends.
- Optimize control systems to meet production requirements, ensure consistency, and improve system performance.
- Develop and manage batch control strategies in line with ISA S88 standards.
- Configure and implement batch management and process control solutions that ensure accurate and efficient batch production.
- Oversee on-site commissioning activities, including equipment verification, loop checks, system validation, and start-up support.
- Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and operational tests to verify the functionality of automation systems.
- Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis to resolve issues during the commissioning and start-up phases.
- Integrate DeltaV DCS with other plant systems and third-party devices, such as PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, and ERP systems.
- Develop comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, test protocols, operation manuals, and commissioning reports.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices for process automation and site commissioning.
- Implement safety interlocks, emergency shutdowns, and fail-safe mechanisms in line with plant safety guidelines.
- Coordinate with project managers, process engineers, and other stakeholders to meet project milestones and ensure successful deployment
- Provide technical guidance and training to site personnel and operations teams on DeltaV and process automation systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in DeltaV DCS, batch process automation, and site commissioning within a manufacturing or process industry environment.
- Proficiency in Emerson DeltaV DCS, including configuration, batch control, and alarm management.
- Knowledge of ISA S88 (batch control) and ISA S95 (enterprise-control system integration) standards.
- Hands-on experience with commissioning and troubleshooting automation systems on-site.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Willingness to work on-site and travel as needed for project deployment.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards, including GAMP, cGMP, and FDA (for relevant industries like pharmaceuticals or food).
- Professional certifications in process automation or DeltaV systems.
- Experience in regulated industries (e.g., pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food & beverage) with batch production processes.
- Familiarity with additional automation platforms, such as PLCs, SCADA, and HMI systems.
