Responsibilities:
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining the organisation's WSH procedures to promote a safe work environment.
- Conducts incident investigations and identifies cases of non-compliance with organisational procedures and legal WSH requirements.
- Evaluates risks associated with the hazards identified in the workplace and reports progress of corrective and preventive actions undertaken within nominated areas.
- Perform safety audits and inspection of work sites to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance.
- Identify and recommend best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices.
- Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance and mentoring to the WSH team on safety initiatives and necessary changes.
- Ensure the OHS management programme are effectively implemented and maintained.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years relevant working experience in construction industry
- Possess a valid registration with MOM as Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO)
- Independent with good communication skills
- Familiar with Government Regulations relating to Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental
- Relevant experience in demolition
