Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer

Job Description & Requirements

· Responsible for the engineering of electrical and control system.

· Familiar with IEC, ISO & related E&I codes.

· Comfortable in reading and understanding of project specifications.

· P&ID understanding in cable installation, instrument location/routine, cable schedule, cable termination drawings and calculation

· Able to design LV Motor Control Center, Local Control Panel, Local Control Station, Junction Box, RIO Panel, Fibre optic interface panel (Fibre optic panel), Field fibre optic termination panel (Fibre optic panel) and UPS Distribution Box.

· Able to generate Single Line Diagram, Load List, Motor Datasheet, Panel Heat dissipation, Power Cable & Ladder/Conduit Routing, Cable Ladder & Accessories BOM.

· Able to generate I/O List, Hardwired Signal List, Instrument Datasheet, Hook Up Diagram, Cable List, Control/Instrument Cable & Tray Routing, Cable Tray & Accessories BOM

· Familiar and have hands on experience with process instrument on pressure, flow, level, analyser and temperature.

· Testing and commissioning of MCC and control panel.

· Proficient with the testing procedures and applicable rules and regulations of regulatory bodies

· Coordinate with all sections for testing/ commissioning requirements with different stakeholders and arrange for facilities and instruments for the project.

· Willing to travel oversea and work on site.

· Able to work with different nationalities within the core team.

· PLC programming (added advantage).

· Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.


Experience & Certifications

· Minimum Degree in Electrical Engineering.

· Preferably with at least 3-5 years’ of experiences in water/wastewater environment.

· Demonstrate experience in troubleshooting and problem solving in the Electrical and Instrumentation area.

· Strong experience and ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single line, schematics, and specifications.

· Ability to interact effectively and positively with all levels of personnel, customers, vendors and visitors.

· Proficient with MS Office and related Engineering Software (such as AutoCAD, Naviswork & programming software).

· Proficient in English language, both oral and written.

· Ability to work well both independently and as a team.
