Job Description
Salary range: SGD $163,000 - $201,000 per annum + RSUs
What are we looking for?
We are looking for an (Network) Engineer to join the PPI team to expand and maintain direct integrations with payments systems and partners all over the world.
What is the PPI team?
The PPI team sits within our Platform tribe, which designs, builds and operates the foundational direct integration infrastructure that power the product that moves £4 billion every month.
This role will give you the opportunity to:
- Work in a modern, cloud heavy environment where remote connectivity is a staple of our tech ecosystem
- Choose your path to impact. We believe people and teams are most empowered when they can act autonomously. So rather than telling you what to do, you’ll work with your team to create a vision of your own. Of course, you can always gather feedback from smart, curious people across Wise but you’ll have the freedom to make your own calls
- You’ll be offered the flexibility to decide on how and where you work. We understand everyone needs a little something different, so we’ll do our best to make it happen.
- Approach new challenges with the freedom to develop novel and customised solutions
- You’ll get to inspire teams with your ideas, knowledge and self-starter attitude.
- Grow as an engineer - understand what problems the business needs to solve and why, then proactively resolve them. We shy away from micro management
- Be part of our mission to make money without borders the new normal
Here’s how you’ll be contributing to the Team
- Design, implement and maintain integrations between Wise and complex financial systems
- Develop and design scalable and repeatable network architecture and computer systems infrastructure
- Communicate with various stakeholders throughout Wise, plan roadmaps with your team, and work through challenges to determine scope and realistic delivery
- Working and collaborating with our larger platform engineering team and alongside product engineering on global projects
- Work with Leads and Staff Engineers to influence the direction and change current technology implementations in order to improve and modernise current Payment Integrations solutions.
- Ensure reliable connectivity and uptime across all network components.

- Experience in leading and managing technical workstreams
- Experience with complex deployments (e.g., configuring firewalls, IPsec, GRE, security policies, network ACLs, BGP routing, and troubleshooting complex networks)
- Passion for automation, building and testing the tooling needed to build better products
