MINDS has been caring for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (PWIDs) and their families since 1962.
Grounded in the belief that all PWIDs have innate abilities and talents, MINDS is committed to empowering them and enhancing their quality of life, while advocating for greater inclusivity for PWIDs as a nation.
MINDS is today one of the largest charities in Singapore employing more than 850 staff. With the key focus to expand community-based services, improving the employability of PWIDS, strengthening education, and engendering inclusive community living, MINDS offers a holistic range of services and programmes across the PWIDs' lifespan.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Client / Student Care (Special-to-type cleaning)
- Operational Support Events & Activities
- Assist to Maintain Facilities
- Assist with Vector Control
- Operational Support to School
- Simple Admin Tasks
Key Tasks:
- Clean students who soil themselves
- Clean soiled area -
- Manage students' lost-and-found corner
- Open and close the school General Office
- Cover school security duties during Security Officer's lunch-break
- Upkeep sensitive areas (e.g. General Office and P/VP rooms)
- Mann the school when there is weekend maintenance / repair works
- Upkeep of notice-boards
- Oversee sorting and storage of school materials and resources
- Store, shift and maintain school furniture (e.g. tables, desks and chairs
- Assist to respond to fire alarm / incidents (e.g. as fire wardens)
- Maintain cleanliness of MINDS school van/mini-bus (*where applicable)
- Help students safely alight and board buses and accompany them to the holding area upon arrival at the school
- Set up of seating/tables for events
- Put up/remove decorations for special festivities and events
- Packing and distribution of items for programmes and events
- Arrange refreshments for meetings and functions
- Attend to simple faults and repairs
- Assist in facility inspections and reporting, including safety checks, faults and defects
- Assist in simple landscape maintenance
- Assist in looking after school set-ups (e.g. fish aquarium, terrarium, hydroponics farm structure)
- Sorting, packing and shredding of documents
- Simple filing of documents - Simple data entry
- Any adhoc duties assigned by the Reporting Officer
- With or without experience are welcome to apply and training will be provided
- Willing to learn and teamwork-oriented
- Great team player with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Able to start from Relief staff for 2 months and the relief rate start from $75 (daily basic)
- Possible to convert to OSA if performed well and deemed suitable
- Relevant certificates from WSQ would be an advantage
