As a Manufacturing Production Shift Manager, you will be responsible for managing the operation of your shift to achieve the planned output and cycle time. You are required to establish clear action items, jointly evaluate the priorities of the action items and ensure successful timely completion with relevant Engineering and supporting departments. You will be responsible for maintain good health and safety at workplace, manage the staffing, training, personnel development and improve engagement with the Production team members. You will also serve as the Site Main Controller of your shift, reacting to any incidents or events affecting safety and factory production, coordinating and communicating recovery plans.
Responsibility
- Promote and enable a safe and positive working environment.
- Collaborate with Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Team to ensure robust Emergency Response Team (ERT) coverage within the Shift. Lead response team to manage unscheduled events that affects production line, develop recovery plans, resource allocation and provide timely status and impact updates to all key stakeholders, coordinate with the stakeholders as the initial Site Management Coordinator (SMC) until handover to crisis management task force or situation normalize.
- Perform supervisory role to Shift Production Engineers and Technicians, forecast and ensure sufficient personnel staffing, perform team engagement and performance management duties.
- Partner with Workforce Development team to develop and implement training plans and ensuring ontime training and certification of Shift Production Engineers and Technicians.
- Lead and set directions for the Shift Production team with production moves daily target and effectively manage the Shift Production team resources to meet planned output and cycle time.
- Review production performance and coordinate relevant Engineering and supporting teams to achieve tactical and strategic production output and cycle time targets
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to strategize, plan and minimize impact of scheduled plant maintenance or large-scale concurrent equipment plan works to production.
- Work with relevant cross functional teams to build advance automation systems, analytic dashboards using smart data analytics and AI to improve Shift Production efficiency and effectiveness to achieve production output and cycle time targets.
- Create, prioritize and manage multiple continuous improvement projects to improve Shift Production KPIs.
Requirements
- Willing to work 12hr night shifts
- Minimum 5yrs of knowledge and experience in managing advance semiconductor 300mm Fabrication plant operation in leadership position roles
- Relevant operation management experience in latest advance semiconductor Photolithography, Plasma Etch or Chemical Vapor Deposition equipments preferred
- Relevant experience as emergency response team leadership role preferred
- Relevant experience in advance automation systems, analytic dashboards creation preferred
