Our company is looking for a Head Chef to join and lead our outlet at Haji Lane. This position is suitable for an existing head chef or a sous chef ready for the next step in their career.
You are required to:
- Manage and oversee operations in the kitchen, controlling and directing the food preparation process
- Contribute to menu planning and supplier liaison
- Ensure quality is maintained and budgets are controlled
- Solve problems that arise in a positive and professional manner
- Be a team player and foster a climate of cooperation and respect between co-workers and FOH staff
- Determine food inventory needs, stocking, and ordering
- Ultimately responsible for ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines
- Uphold food hygiene practices and maintain health and safety protocols
- Maintain the care of equipment by arranging for repairs when necessary
- Contribute to the hiring, managing, and training of kitchen staff
- Possess the ability to schedule lean manpower management
- Maintain records of payroll and attendance
- Work closely and efficiently with other departments to achieve company’s goals
