Key Responsibilities:
- Process Optimization: Improve manufacturing processes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
- Process Improvement Programs: Implement productivity and quality-focused programs.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Employee Relations: Collaborate with HR to address employee grievances.
- Performance Reviews: Conduct evaluations for maintenance technicians and engineering staff.
- Workplace Safety: Uphold and enhance safety and housekeeping standards.
- Staff Training: Facilitate staff training to maintain up-to-date engineering practices.
- Data Analysis: Analyze data for operational improvement recommendations.
- Communication & Coordination: Regular communication with production and maintenance teams.
- Recruitment Support: Assist in recruiting production personnel.
- Documentation: Maintain operating manuals, quality plans, and training materials.
- Ad-hoc Projects: Handle various projects as assigned.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in manufacturing, with leadership and supervisory skills.
- Skills: Ability to work under pressure, proficiency in computer applications, knowledge of ISO standards (advantageous).
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Manufacturing, Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field.
- Additional Requirements: Willing to work after hours or on non-working days as needed.
Approval Limits:
- Approvals: Manufacturing instructions, purchase requisitions, overtime/leave applications, recruitment for supervisory roles, performance appraisals.
