Job Description for M&E Manager
- Project Management on all company projects in M&E services design, cost, technical and authority matters.
- Oversee and manage the M&E aspects of construction projects, including mechanical, electrical, fire protection and plumbing (MEP) systems.
- Supervise and provide guidance to M&E Engineers & Inspector of Works.
- Manage sub-con/in progress production planning & build
- Assess M&E contractors progress and variation order claims
- Review and approve M&E designs and plans to ensure they meet project specifications and comply with local codes and regulations.
- Value engineering on design proposals to optimise the cost and to ensure best practices are applied in the projects.
- Keeping track on variation and claims of contract and cost impact, report information to Project Manager.
- Monitoring M&E services variation works and costs during construction stage to ensure within budget.
- Attend client consultant meeting & involve in pre-tender estimation and tender process for award of Contractors.
- Identify and address any technical issues or challenges related to M&E systems during the construction process.
- Knowledge of relevant local and international building codes and standards.
- Experience in coordinating with regulatory agencies and ensuring compliance.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum a recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Construction Engineering or other building-related disciplines
- At least 3-5 years of working experience in building and construction projects
- Working knowledge in BIM model software
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
- Have Main Contractor Experience.
