To perform all roles and responsibilities required of site supervisors under the Building Control Act
• Ensure that the M&E works are constructed in accordance with drawings and specifications and the Building Control Act and Regulations
• Monitor and report on the progress of works
• Carry out inspection of M&E engineering works prior to concreting, subsequent construction work and defects rectification works
• To carry out supervision and inspection of the works as directed by the Supervision QP, SRE, consultants or Superintending Officer
• To manage and supervise the Resident Technical Officer under his charge
• Ensure records of all mechanical and engineering works including records of tests, defect rectification, inspections, work progress, material and equipment on site, safety, etc, are timely updated
• Attending site, progress, variation and coordination meetings • Verifying all reports and claims relating to M&E works submitted by the contractors
• Liaise with all relevant authorities and stakeholders to maintain proper and updated daily records of all works done.
• Keeping accurate record of variations as instructed or approved by the Superintending Officer and to maintain a set of updated drawings on site
• Check all drawings (including shop drawings, construction drawings and specifications for discrepancies and to report to the Supervision QP, consultants or Superintending Officer Requirements
Requirements:
• Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience as a mechanical and electrical engineer, of which at least three (3) years shall be in supervision of works similar in nature to major construction works in buildings, services laying and lighting & control systems.
• Degree/ Diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering degree recognized by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore. • Preferably with experience in the supervision of infra services laying, lighting & control systems
