Working Hours: 8:45 AM to 5:30 PM, 5 Day work week
Location: Pioneer
Salary: $5,000 - $7,000, with AWS + Variable Bonus
Transport: 2 way transport pickup from Jurong East
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement import strategies to ensure smooth and cost-effective operations.
- Coordinate with suppliers and third-party logistics (3PL) to manage import processes, container clearance, and timely unstuffing.
- Track and update shipping schedules in Navision, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Provide weekly import reports to management and R&D teams, and communicate any changes to vessel schedules or shipping info.
- Lead end-to-end transfer of raw materials and finished products between warehouse and production plant.
- Ensure damaged goods are reported for claims and oversee sample transfers for testing.
- Plan monthly import activities and warehouse storage to drive cost savings and optimize space.
- Prepare inventory aging and monthly forecast reports, and follow up on aged or sample stock.
- Ensure compliance with import regulations, company procedures, and ISO standards.
- Oversee transportation and monitor shipments to ensure timely arrival and proper documentation for customs clearance.
- Analyze and manage the budget for import shipping, identify cost-saving opportunities, and verify invoices from 3PL.
- Resolve any issues related to shipments such as delays, damages, or discrepancies, and act as the main liaison between internal teams and external suppliers.
- Supervise and train the import shipping team, conduct performance evaluations, and promote team development.
- Stay updated on industry technology advancements, manage Navision system updates, and identify potential risks in the import process.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of managerial experience in manufacturing or relevant industries.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Navision ERP system.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive team leader with experience organizing and leading teams to achieve operational excellence.
