Supply Chain Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimize supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier relations, and process optimization, with a hands-on approach to driving operational excellence and continuous improvement. The role requires strong market insights, inventory management skills, and cross-functional collaboration to meet organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies that align with the organization's long-term goals and operational objectives.
  • Conduct market analysis and supplier evaluations to identify opportunities for cost savings, quality improvements, and efficiency gains.
  • Collaborate with senior management to forecast demand and establish inventory management strategies that balance supply and demand.

Supplier Negotiation:

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable sourcing of materials and services.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve favorable outcomes that contribute to the organizations profitability.
  • Monitor supplier performance metrics and implement corrective actions when necessary to maintain high standards of quality and service.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture that encourages innovation and accountability.
  • Actively participate in the ordering process, guiding team members in best practices for order placement, tracking, and fulfillment.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to review performance metrics, address challenges, and celebrate successes.

Process Optimization:

  • Streamline supply chain operations by implementing effective ordering practices, reducing lead times, and minimizing inventory costs.
  • Utilize data analytics to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply chain efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices across the supply chain.

Business Acumen:

  • Apply strong business acumen to make data-driven decisions that positively impact the organizations operational and financial performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and finance, to ensure alignment on supply chain initiatives and objectives.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and developments to anticipate changes and adapt supply chain strategies accordingly.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a Masters degree or relevant certification (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma) is a plus.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain management, with a proven track record in supplier negotiation and team leadership.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to identify, analyze, and implement effective process improvements.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented and meticulous in managing supply chain operations, demonstrating a hands-on approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
