What you'll do:
In this role as an IT Support Specialist (Contract), you will be key in ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems within the organization. You will be responsible for managing Service Management ticket queues, troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues, and supporting various project initiatives. You will also assist with asset management, employee onboarding, and documentation creation, and help track and report on performance metrics to meet key project deadlines. Sensitivity and discretion will be necessary to handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Manage Service Management ticket queues based on priority
- Provide troubleshooting support for incidents and requests involving hardware, software, or networking
- Support or lead IT projects and initiatives
- Assist with asset management to ensure accuracy of the Asset Inventory Database
- Help with onboarding new employees by preparing IT equipment
- Create documentation, including policies, processes, training materials, and knowledge base articles
- Understand and report on performance metrics
- Manage project assignments to stay on track for critical goals
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this role of an IT Support Specialist (Contract) has at least two years of experience in IT support and customer service roles within a mid to large-sized organization. You will have proven experience troubleshooting and providing technical support across various platforms, including both Windows and Apple operating systems. Your strong technical background will allow you to manage the lifecycle of IT equipment and execute tasks to completion. You are a team player with excellent customer service skills, able to work independently while following ITIL principles.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in IT support and customer service
- At least 2+ years' experience in a service and support technical role (700+ user environment)
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to work with a diverse range of individuals
- High proficiency in Windows and Apple operating systems, platform software, and hardware
- Strong technical skills with the ability to complete projects independently
- Experience managing the full lifecycle of IT equipment and systems
- Strong teamwork and the ability to work unsupervised
- Understanding of ITIL principles
