Responsibility
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Lorry Driver to join our team in the Manufacture of Paper and Paper Products industry. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting paper products, raw materials, and other supplies between production facilities, warehouses, and customer locations. The ideal candidate will have experience driving large vehicles, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Job Description
* Responsible for transporting paper and paper products from manufacturing plants or warehouses to customer locations or other designated sites, ensuring timely and safe delivery.
* Follow all traffic regulations and ensure the cargo is transported without damage, adhering to company safety driving policies to protect yourself, others, and the goods.
* Inspect the loading and packaging of goods before departure and upon arrival at the destination, ensuring no damage or loss, and report any discrepancies.
* Regularly check and maintain the transport vehicle, including checking fuel levels, tires, brakes, etc., to ensure the vehicle operates efficiently and minimize breakdowns or accidents.
* Accurately record mileage, time, cargo details, and other relevant information for each trip, and fill out transportation logs and related documents as required by the company.
* Communicate with customers to ensure timely delivery of goods and provide necessary delivery services, resolving any issues customers may encounter.
* Adhere to company procedures related to transportation, warehousing, and safety, ensuring all transportation activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company standards.
* Assist with loading and unloading when needed, ensuring goods are properly arranged and meet transport requirements and specifications.
* Able to carry heavy goods, roughly 20KG - 40KG.
* Able to work in pressure environment and need work under the sun.
* Need work at public holiday, weekend and overtime.
Working Location: ONAN ROAD, 1ST trip will start at 6am-630am
Requirement
* At least 2 Year(s) working experience and related field are required for this position.
* Must possess at least higher Education/ Diploma in any field.
* Possess a Singapore Class 3 driving license or able to take Class 3 Driving License.
* Familiar driving on Singapore roads or able to use GPS
* Strategic & critical thinking as well as decision-making and negotiation skills.
* Able to adapt, prioritize, exercise initiative, manage pressure, multi task and work independently.
* Excellent customer service skills, including communication skills, problem solving skills, organizational skills and teamwork spirit.
* Time management/ meticulous and mature in work.
