As a FE Materials Supplier Manager, you will be responsible for developing a category strategy for managed categories, validating strategies with Global and Regional Category Managers/s and the respective internal partners and stakeholders. You will be conducting strategic sourcing initiatives, plan and execute negotiations using supplier and industry analysis, benchmark and cost management. Through management of the category strategy, you will also be building trusted partnerships with internal stakeholders, driving best-in-class, cost, supply and resilience.
Key Responsibilities
Category Management & Strategic Sourcing
- Implement processes to monitor stakeholder satisfaction with key suppliers.
- Analyze sourcing needs and make recommendations to stakeholders for assigned categories.
- Identify local and regional supplier opportunities to assist with the category strategies
- Develop category strategies for managed categories and validate strategies with Global and Regional Category Managers/s and internal partners.
Cost Management & Analysis
- Identify and evaluate category-specific savings opportunities
- Monitor and enforce the implementation of sourcing strategies
Negotiation
- Lead or participate in regional negotiations for managed categories
- Lead regional sourcing events/RFQ process and provide inputs for category management plans
- Incorporate savings targets and contract requirements into negotiations
- Conduct strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiations, and cost management using supplier and industry analysis.
Business Partnering
- Collaborate with Stakeholders to deliver Strategic Solutions
- Develop and maintain expertise in the assigned spend categories through relationships with key stakeholders
- Drive customer-centric approach to solving issues and representing Procurement
- Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships to enhance cost-effectiveness, supply chain efficiency, and resilience.
Requirements:
- Bachelor or Masters Degree in Business, Business Administration or Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field of study.
- 0 -2 years of experience in Supplier Management. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Proficient in data analytical tools (such as Tableau, Power BI, Python, Robotic Process Automation) will be an added advantage.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to be a persuasive advocate
- Ability to manage relationships with various individuals involved and effectively drive business needs
- Self-motivated and driven individual who is comfortable working in a global, fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Responsible for obtaining materials, components, equipment, and services. Performs cost analysis and volume planning for major commodities. Acquires and maintains technical understanding of products purchased. Coordinates purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels. As required, monitors the cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value. May recommend cost saving proposals including make vs. buy analysis, alternative sourcing, and vendor evaluation criteria.
