About the role
SINHI ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for a wide range of carpentry and cabinet-making tasks to support our commercial projects.
What you'll be doing
- Accurately measuring, cutting, and assembling wood, plywood, and other materials to create custom furniture, cabinetry, and other wood structures
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and technical specifications to ensure accurate construction.
- Operating power tools, hand tools and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
- Cut, shape timber according to measurements/requirements
- Maintaining a clean and organised workspace to promote safety and efficiency
- Completing all work to a high standard of quality and within agreed timelines
What we're looking for
- Formal qualification in carpentry or cabinet-making, or equivalent proven experience
- Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience as a Carpenter, preferably in a commercial or construction setting
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Skilled in the use of power tools and hand tools, with a strong focus on safety
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Good communication skills to liaise with the team and clients
