Function – Candidate will have to check the Letter of Credits (Export LC) for its compatibility with the Import LCs and ensure that the LCs are workable and viable. Independently check the documents drawn under LC.
Roles & Responsibilities
1. To prepare ELC draft as per contract and ensure compliance with internal requirements.
2. Check ELC received are as per the LC draft and provide amendment list if not in order.
3. Ensure ELC received is workable to add confirmation as per terms and conditions.
4. Timely monitor and follow up with counterparties on LC and amendment status.
5. Check B/L draft and draft certificates comply with LC before final issuance.
6. Review and check bank application form and documents prepared by Trade Ops team.
7. Identify discrepancies and work with team members to resolve discrepancies.
8. Continuous improvement to work processes and operational efficiency.
9. Ability to communicate effectively with team members, external clients, and internal stakeholders.
10. Participate in projects and other initiatives when required.
Requirements
Experience – At least 6 years of experience in a similar job function, preferably in coal and coal products but definitively in bulk mineral international trade.
Required knowledge –
· CDCS certified with strong understanding of general LC practice rules (i.e., UCP600, ISP98, ISBP and URR725).
· Good understanding of various SWIFT message types.
· Strong knowledge of trade finance products with the ability to evaluate options and provide solutions.
· Meticulous and detailed oriented.
· Familiar with MS Office application such as Outlook, Word, Word etc.
· Service oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
