Background: As part of the RSK Group, with over 15,000 specialists globally, the RSK Digital Water team is to support the company’s expansion in Asia with specific and targeted solutions in the water industry. The team focuses on bringing innovative technologies in data analytics and remote monitoring for the Asia water market. To support this, RSK Digital Water is seeking a Digital Water Systems Specialist to join our team and drive digital transformation of water and wastewater infrastructure.
Role Description: The successful candidate will advise, develop and implement cutting-edge digital water solutions, leveraging IoT technologies, machine learning, and data analytics to optimise water management systems. This role requires a balance of technical expertise and knowledge of key technologies, suppliers, and implementation strategies. The role will be expected to deliver projects both internally for RSK and externally with clients, with the ability to engage with various stakeholders in the water management sector. These skills align with the core services of the RSK Digital Water team, in digital advisory services, data analytics services and IoT implementation. The role will report directly into the Head of Digital Water working in partnership with peers such as Data Engineers, Business Development Leads and Business Analysts.
The role is based in Singapore, with project and engagement work required across Asia and globally where required. Whilst some work is deliverable remotely, it is preferable for the role to conduct in-person meetings where possible and travel would be required on a project-by-project basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with water utility professionals, engineers, and administrators to identify and implement smart water technologies.
- Grow our project pipeline through business development activities in the water sector
- Develop data analytics pipelines for collecting, processing, and visualising water data to provide actionable insights.
- Plan large-scale IoT sensor networks to support urban water management systems.
- Lead efforts to integrate smart technology into existing water and wastewater infrastructure, improving operational efficiency and resilience.
- Work collaboratively with team members, including internal, external and academic teams in data collection, analysis, and technology deployment.
- Communicate technical insights effectively to diverse audiences, including both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Experience developing and deploying IoT sensors, machine learning models, and data visualisation tools in water management contexts.
- Understanding of water lifecycle processes from treatment and distribution.
- Proficient in Python and cloud platforms, with familiarity in SQL, MATLAB, and other relevant tools.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on multi-system analysis in urban water systems.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams in research and operational settings.
- Fluent verbal and written English skills
