Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Drafter with expertise in Building Information Modeling (BIM) to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with our architects and engineers to produce accurate, high-quality architectural drawings and 3D models for a variety of projects. The role requires a strong understanding of architectural drafting standards, BIM software, and the ability to translate design concepts into precise, constructible documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project teams to produce detailed architectural drawings, 3D models, and layouts using BIM software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD).
- Support the development and maintenance of BIM standards, workflows, and libraries.
- Interpret architectural designs and specifications, creating accurate models and documentation.
- Coordinate with other disciplines, such as structural and MEP, to integrate building systems into the BIM model.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and company guidelines.
- Revise and update BIM models and drawings based on project requirements and feedback from the design team.
- Assist in quality control checks for accuracy and completeness of models and drawings.
- Participate in project meetings to understand design requirements and incorporate changes accordingly.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Architectural Technology, Architecture, or related field.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in architectural drafting and BIM modeling, preferably within an architectural firm.
- Proficiency in BIM software, particularly Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and other relevant 3D modeling tools.
- Strong knowledge of architectural drawing standards, drafting techniques, and construction documentation.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations is a plus.
