Responsibilities:
- Coordinate import consolidation operations, including booking, documentation, and tracking of shipments.
- Liaise with overseas agents, carriers, and suppliers to ensure timely collection and delivery of cargo.
- Monitor shipment progress and proactively address any issues or delays that may arise.
- Prepare and review shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists, to ensure compliance with customs regulations and company standards.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, including arrival and departure times, cargo weights, and dimensions.
- Communicate regularly with customers to provide status updates and address inquiries or concerns.
- Collaborate with internal departments, such as customer service, sales, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of import consolidation activities.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and market conditions affecting import consolidation operations.
Details
- Input all details of co-load, consol, FCL once pre-alert received from POL agent.
- Check Debit Note/Credit Note/Collection sheet by agents.
- Provide instruction to warehouse.
- Liaise with consignee/carrier/agent via email.
- Arrange payment and provide authorisation letter(LOA) to carrier/co-loader.
- Provide arrival notice.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in import consolidation operations within the freight forwarding industry.
- Proficiency in freight forwarding software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong understanding of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
