- Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys in order to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed.
- Direct or conduct surveys in order to establish TBM, running chainage, road line, drain line, structure line and legal boundaries for properties, based on legal deeds and plan.
- Conduct traverse surveys in order to establish primary and secondary control points and control survey plan with traverse reports.
- Conduct topographical, as-built surveys and provide detail plan with cross and longitudinal section
- Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person and Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.
- Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
- Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
- Providing documentation, detailed instructions, drawings, or specifications to tell others about how devices, parts, equipment, or structures are to be fabricated, constructed, assembled, modified, maintained, or used.
- Record the results of surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land or land features.
- Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other characteristics of terrain.
- Prepare or supervise preparation of all data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys.
- Read, utilize and interpret design drawings and topographic maps.
- Plan and conduct ground surveys designed to establish baselines, elevations, and other geodetic measurements.
- Search legal records, survey records, and land titles in order to obtain information about property boundaries in areas to be surveyed.
- Coordinate findings with the work of site personnel, clients, and others concerned with projects.
- Adjust surveying instruments in order to maintain their accuracy
- Establish fixed points for use in making maps, using geodetic and engineering instruments.
Requirements
- Diploma in Land Survey/ Geo-Spatial Information and Technology/Degree in Civil Engineering with 3 Years Land survey Experience.
- Experience in Civil Engineering works will be at an advantage. Works included preparation of survey drawings and design amendment plan and sections using AutoCad and other design software.
