Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Lead and guide a team of technicians to ensure vehicle service and repair work meets high standards of quality, productivity, and turnaround time, in line with customer requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all repairs are completed to standard, minimizing the risk of rework or "comeback" jobs.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Use electronic diagnostic tools to identify defects, determine repair actions, and assess parts requirements for repairs.
- Repair Updates: Provide regular updates on repair status to the supervisor.
- Test Drive: Test drive vehicles after repairs, when necessary, to ensure proper functioning.
- Spare Parts Management: Supervise and control the use of spare parts for contract vehicles.
- Safety & Housekeeping: Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with safety protocols and good housekeeping practices.
- Customer Support: Assist Customer Service personnel in preparing quotations for repair work.
Qualifications:
- Licenses: Class 3 & 4 driving licenses required.
- Qualifications:NITEC or Diploma in Automotive Engineering or relevant certification.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Experience:1-2 years of relevant experience in automotive repair, particularly handling commercial vehicles (EURO4-6), including Prime Movers (HDT).
- Experience in technical service, use of diagnostic tools, warranty administration, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and documentation.
Skills in technical investigation and report writing. - Skills:Ability to interpret electrical drawings.
